Stroke Therapy

Strokes require very rapid treatment in many cases to prevent or decrease long-term damage. Texas Interventional Radiology provides a rapid response approach which sometimes involves the use of imaging-guided techniques to open blocked vessels and restore blood flow. Small catheters are guided from a small leg artery puncture to the brain where a variety of drugs or special tools treat the problem.
