Texas Interventional Radiology

Welcome

All physicians of Texas Interventional Radiology are board certified specialists who perform procedures at Baylor University Medical Center and other locations. Our physicians treat a wide variety of conditions using leading edge imaging guidance techniques and minimally invasive approach, offering a gentler alternative to conventional surgery. Procedures performed in this manner are generally less costly and less traumatic to the patient than surgery. These procedures require smaller incisions, shorter (or no) hospital stays, and less pain. This method of patient care has been described as “The Surgery of the 21st Century.”

Examples of conditions treated include vascular diseases such as aneurysms in the body or brain, artery and venous occlusive disease (blockages), cancer of many organs including liver, kidney, lung, uterine fibroids, varicoceles, infertility, peripheral vascular disease, and others. Examples of procedures performed include arterial and venous embolization (intentionaour fol blockage of abnormal vessels), angioplasty and stent placement to open blocked vessels, chemo-embolization of liver tumors, Y-90 bead embolization of liver tumors, radiofrequency ablation of tumors of the liver, kidney, lung, bone, and other organs, and many others.
